My name is Ashlyn Lipford, a dedicated dog trainer with nearly six years of experience and the owner of Night & Day Dog Training. My journey into the world of dog training began when I got my first dog, Luna. Luna is a very energetic and driven Australian Shepherd, and I found myself changing my lifestyle to meet Luna's needs. Luna helped introduce me to the realm of dog sports and obedience training. I was so excited about my new hobbies and decided I was ready to get my second Australian Shepherd. I encountered challenges when my second Aussie, Caelum, developed reactivity issues. Determined to help him, I immersed myself in researching reactivity and sought guidance from experienced trainers. My passion for dog training blossomed during my time working at doggy daycares, and I had the privilege of learning under an incredible mentor in Tuscaloosa for two years. After I moved to Birmingham, I ran a training program at another daycare before deciding to open my own business, Night and Day Dog Training.

No — Night & Day Dog Training doesn't mean I am available all hours of the night. It's an ode to my own dogs, Luna and Caelum, who led me to begin my career in dog training. I specialize in basic obedience, behavioral modification, and sport foundations. I love educating owners on all aspects of dog ownership and how they can better their relationship with their dogs. My philosophy centers on building strong bonds between dogs and their owners and tailoring training methods to suit each unique dog's learning style and pace. I'm dedicated to helping dog owners achieve success in training by using the approach that works best for them and their dogs.
